Appointed as Harrison Township Trustee in 2001; Elected to full four-year terms in 2002 and in 2006.
Graduate of the University of Maryland's Burns Leadership Academy, Parity, Inc.'s Future Leadership Institute, and the Ohio Township Association's Leadership Academy
Actively represents the Township on the Harrison Township Community Improvement Corporation, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC), County Corporation (Housing Committee), The First Suburbs Consortium of Dayton, Ohio (Secretary), the Dayton Public Schools' Community Leadership Committee, and the Salem Avenue Corridor Committee
Member of the Montgomery County Democratic Party, the Montgomery County Township Association, the Ohio Township Association , and the Coalition of Large Ohio Urban Townships (CLOUT), and the National Association of Towns and Townships (NATaT).
Served as Governor Bob Taft's appointee on the Eminent Domain Task Force representing Ohio Townships.
